Jaanika Terasmaa joins Maxima Estonia as Marketing Director, having previously been the head of the marketing department at Baltika Group.

Maxima Estonia Managing Director Vygintas Šapokas said the Maxima retail chain in its 12th year of operation in Estonia has reached a record number of customers and is among the ten most loved brands in Estonia. “The aim of our marketing team is to further improve sales performance and brand recognition under Jaanika’s leadership in order to thereby enhance customer loyalty," he noted.

Maxima Estonia’s newly appointed Marketing Director Jaanika Terasmaa sees major marketing potential for the retailer. "We will continue to work with our customers to actively develop our strengths which are an exclusive range of products, low prices and the best value for money. Our main focus is the best customer experience: convenience to come to the store, shop and find exactly what they need from our range of products. We are determined to meet our customers’ expectations," she said.

Jaanika Terasmaa said her decision to join Maxima was a carefully thought-out decision. "After several strategic projects were implemented at Baltika Group, including e-commerce, customer loyalty programme and an effective and decisive team had been built, it was time to move on. Being able to work towards further improving consumer trust at a leading Estonian retailer was the reason I chose to continue my career at Maxima," she added.

Jaanika Terasmaa held various positions in marketing at Baltika Group for the last five years and prior to that she worked at public relations firm Polhem PR. Before joining Maxima, Terasmaa oversaw marketing of the clothing brands Monton, Mosaic, Ivo Nikkolo, Baltman and Bastion as head of the marketing department. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Strategic Management at the University of Tartu.

Maxima Estonia is part of the retail group Maxima Grupé, comprised of 528 stores in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Bulgaria.
